Yesterday David had his little chat with the cardiologist. It seems he is a rare bird. But didn't we know that? Those medications do not work that way--at least they are not supposed to--and they started him out on a low dose! Sure was a good thing they gave him that monitor and kept on top of how the meds were doing. The bottom line is that he is a candidate for the surgical route rather than the meds route. The cardio guy said that he was more of a plumber and so he would now hand David off to the electrician!
"Sparky," an electro-physiologist, will run a probe through the artery into the heart. They will run a diagnostic on his electrical circuits, find the one that is the main line, as opposed to the extra ones. Then they will send an impulse through the probe so it heats up and snips off those extra ones that are causing the feedback loop. Viola! Most of the time that is a cure. Done. He can rest up and then go play racquet ball and get all hot and sweaty! Without that feedback loop he won't tire so quickly--he could become a dangerous opponent! He has an appointment for July 12, his date with Sparky to do the preliminaries. He will probably get a date for the "ablation" at that time. Ablation is the technical term for that procedure.
Book news: The cover designs have come and I picked the one I liked best. Oh, that pig has an attitude! My niece said she recognized that look! Defiant and unrepentant! This book series is going to be so much fun! I finished writing the third one of the series yesterday. I have one more to go--unless another one pops into my head!

Glad things are proceeding without any additional problems cropping up. David's competition better watch out after the recovery period.
