The latest on David's news: He was able to see a doc today and got a ruling: the hernia can wait, even though it is about the size of half of an egg, the long way. Hernia repair is considered elective surgery and since it is not causing pain and is not getting bigger, it can wait. It does make him uncomfortable on occasion, but he would not say it was painful. The heart surgery is a much more urgent need. So the way the calendar rolls, the hernia will be repaired some time in the new year.
Heart surgery is scheduled for Sept. 30. He has to report in at 6:00a.m. and it is a 4 1/2 hour surgery! He will stay overnight in the hospital to make sure all systems function. Both girls are coming--Meilee said more for me than Dad. I hadn't thought about that! I was thinking to have someone more stable than I in case he needed help getting into the bathroom or something. But it will be nice to have drivers and not need to worry about rounding up a tag team to get from hither and yon.
That's the report! Take care all!
Blessings, Carol

Good news that the surgery can continue as scheduled. I'm sure both of you are eager to have it over and done with - and have David on the mend.
Love, Carol
Thanks for update. Great to have arrows in your quiver to come visit in helpful times.
Praying for good outcomes and patience for patients.
